ART101 Week 1 Discussion 1 Exploring an Art Museum

While taking a virtual tour in the art museum online . I discovered a multitude of great art pieces . While reading “ What is Art History ?” from the textbook there are many categories / styles of art . To name a few you have period style , regional style , and personal style . The main style that stuck out to me was personal style , which explains the style of the painting and or sculpture .One work of art that I chose from the virtual tour was interesting to me was Balke,P.(pe1862). The colors are plain and simple , black and white . to me it shows a tide of waves and cloudy clouds with birds flying . Reminds me of a soothing scenery .

An item that woman use sometimes on a daily basis that I believe will be perceived as art in the near future is a hot comb . Each year hair fashion trends come out with new flat irons for woman hair . Some woman don’t result back to the hot comb when growing up your grandmother use to press your hair out with it . They have come out with all types of curling irons for woman .
