Integrated marketing campaign or IMC as defined by the book is, " Focusing on managing customer relationships over time by linking all initiatives related to brand communications so that audiences encounter a consistent message across all channels" (White. 2019). This is the way a company integrates all forms of marketing and how they proceed to push their unified marketing tactics onto the consumer for maximum effectiveness.
Super Bowl Ads:
Beer and football go hand in hand so its only natural for Budweiser to go above and beyond during this weekend. The main avenue of approach to the companies consumers is through television ads. The Super Bowl is famous for its ads. Some consumers will watch only to see the commercials so it is imperative that your commercials resonate with the viewer. As of right now Budweiser has announced there will be 10 different advertisements. that will be played during the game which is a good amount considering the cost for air time during this monumental sporting event.
Uber self driving car delivers Budweiser:
This aspect of media relates to technological ingenuity which is very popular right now. It also features a semi truck that is eco friendly which is a big debate right now. By doing this a good amount of consumers will be targeted who would usually be missed by a beer company scientific and those for clean and renewable energy.
World Cup Advertising:
As of right now the biggest form of marketing coming up for Budweiser is the FIFA World Cup. As the world cup is one of the biggest events of the year world wide all the big marketing players are going to produce their best plans. Budweiser is going to use multiple avenues to market their beer. The first is a short video highlighting the sport and beer relationship. The second is a vast amount of ads, commercial, fliers, and emails. Another big aspect is billboards, and finally and probably the most important is the limited edition cups being passed out. Budweiser is giving out millions of FIFA, Budweiser cups to market its name during this event.
In my opinion what really unifies all of these medias is the event style. All sponsor and piggy back off of bug popular events happening world wide. One being the World Cup and another being the Super Bowl, these are possibly the two biggest sporting events in the America yearly. Although the Uber truck is not a sport it is still a big milestone in technological advancements.
