CHS300 Assignment Self-Reflection

On a scale of 1-10 I would rate my performance thus far a 7. Reason being I missed my first quiz and got a zero on it. Now I am having to play catch up on my grades. I came in with the expectation of this being very similar to my years at the community college. I quickly learned that that was not the case. My grades are getting a lot better that it was in the beginning of the term. I am still struggling with trying to manage school and work. It gives me a headache just thinking about it. My first support system. They have motivated me and pushed me to keep going. Nothing worth having comes easy. I keep telling myself that I will see the other side of these long sleepless nights and that is what motivates me to keep pushing and thriving.

Some things I can do that can improve my study habits is getting a plan and or routine together. Set aside maybe 30 minutes to an hour outside of me actually doing my work to study. I need to utilize my support system with help at home with my son. I need to triple check my assignments to make sure I don’t miss anymore assignments. I need to clear my head of my day to day duties so I can focus on what’s at hand, which is my school work.

This class has impacted me tremendously. It has taught me a lot about self-health and how I can manage being stressed or handling a stressful situation. It has taught me that I can use meditation to clear my head. just this week, it has taught me how a random act of kindness can affect everyone involved. It helps alleviate stress and high blood pressure. It can also unite people together. It brings about a great change that this world could benefit from. I learned what a ripple effect is and how if all did a random act of kindness the world would be an even better place.
