Writing Prompts 100-word minimum, total
Reflect on your effort, learning, skill-building, performance, and overall experience in this course, and respond to the following three prompts:
1. On a scale of 1-10 (1 being low, bare minimum, and 10 maximum effort, read/viewed all learning materials, started assignments early, active engagement in discussions and application of concepts, skills), how would you rate your effort on average for the entire course?
2. Compare/contrast your effort the first and second half of the course.
3. Discuss whether your performance in this course aligns with your effort.
Tip: A reflection involves an analysis and interpretation of the experience in terms of your thoughts and feelings, and any potential impact, and not merely a description of what you did.
Your Answer:
On a scale of 1- 10, I would give myself a high 8. I learned a lot in this course, not only things that can better me as a person but things that can help better someone else’s day, and who knows how that can impact somebody’s life. . I got to interact with great people from all around the world with my discussion questions and I honestly learned a lot from their perspectives on topics that I usually wouldn’t have even thought of. I started out a little rough but I believe I’m ending with a bang. I struggled in the beginning with timelines. I was so used to everything being due on a Sunday at midnight and this course was totally the opposite, so I had to find a new routine, which I think I grasp pretty good. Once I got in the class and started to learn I realized that this class can actually better me as a person and I started to engage a little more and take it more seriously than just a class. What I enjoyed the most about this course was that it made you do the work and that made it more fun and made it come off a little more natural. Yes, the Random Acts of Kindness was an assignment but once I got going it got to be that I’m doing all of this because it feels good to help someone out and to make them feel good and appreciated. I can honestly say the effort and performance aligned with this course.
Quiz Score: 80 out of 100
