Communication strategies

Communication strategy is important because it gives the organization a sense of unity to work as a team. No matter what the type of organization, whether it be a business, government, or Non-Govermental (NGO), effective communication and teamwork are what tie them together. Without effective communication skills within the organization, there would be no way to keep the members informed or it would be difficult for different teams to work together effectively (Van Ruler, 2020) This can lead to disjointed goals and missing deadlines. Good communication also builds rapport between team members which helps make this easier as well as helps establish trust among different departments in an organization.

Good communication strategy also means being able to reach out to external stakeholders or customers with ease and being able to convey messages clearly and concisely that is convincing for all involved parties.

The top five communication strategies that Red Clay Renovation would use include:

i) Awareness and Training Program
Ā
Develop an ongoing and mandatory employee awareness and training program that focuses on cybersecurity and privacy (Mohr,2019). This program should educate employees on the latest security threats, best practices, and company policies and procedures related to data protection.

ii) Regular Communication and Updates
Ā
Communicate updates and changes in policies and procedures to employees regularly. This could be in the form of newsletters, internal memos, and/or regular meetings with managers and employees.

iii) Use of Easy-to-Understand Language
Ā
When communicating policies, use plain and easy-to-understand language, avoiding technical jargon and complex terms. Make sure all employees understand the importance of their role in maintaining the security of the companyās information.

iv) Interactive Platforms
Ā
Utilize interactive platforms such as videos, quizzes, and gamification to engage employees and make the learning experience fun and memorable.

v) Lead by Example
Ā
The leadership team should lead by example and actively promote the importance of cybersecurity and privacy within the company culture (Ellis,2018). This could include promoting safe online behavior and encouraging employees to report any suspicious activity.

Examples of policies to be communicated to the workforce could include password management, data classification, and handling, incident reporting, acceptable use of company devices, and data backup and recovery procedures.
