EXP105_G30 Discussions Week 4 - Discussion 1- Metacognitive Forum

One new or interesting thing I learned last week was…How to decode my learning pattern and the meaning of decoding, and that everyone’s learning pattern is not the same, it’s not one size fit all.

 I found it interesting because…it helped me to learn how to connect key words and terms of an assignment to connect and put in the correct way.  The goal of decoding is to identify and clarify the instruction of exactly what’s to be completed.

One thing that went well for me last week was…I completed my assignments in a timely manner and I’m really taking in the lesson to use for my advantage, especially at work when you have to read between the lines, and sometimes read their mines, sort of speak.

Something I could have done differently last week was…to create my own sample wall. The more time you spend decoding, creating your sample wall it will help you to recognize words and phrases that will help you on your role to success.

This week I will…Concentrate on the chapter and try to use the knowledge that I’ve learned of myself this past week on decoding and learning the patterns of others to see the difference.

After reading the materials and completing last week’s assignments, I’d like to learn more about…FIT of my patterns. FIT and decoding goes hand in hand, and I think I concentrated more on decoding instead of giving them both the adequate amount of time each.  I will go back and re-read that section of the chapter.
