This is a challenge image in that, soldiers who have been addicted to drug use can reform through treatment, and get ready to get back to mission. This is a typical image showing daily routines of soldiers and the horrors they undergo through during their daily activities. Due to stress, some opt to use drugs to reduce stress and trauma related to their work. However, integrating Substance Use

Disorder Clinical Care (SUDCC) treatment into MEDCOM’s Behavioral Health System of Care (BHSOC) will enhance the delivery of care for Soldiers to improve the Readiness for the Force. It will also improve outcomes for Soldiers and family members with substance use disorders through earlier detection and intervention. Most people claim that once you have become a drug addict, your life has come to an end, but this image challenges this perception by showing abled soldiers back to mission after being addicts.

This course has been of great help to me in understanding drug and substance abuse and its relations to HIV/AIDS. Besides, it has challenged me to act and help those who are victims of drug abuse and HIV/AIDS by introducing harm reduction programs such as availing needles to prevent spread of HIV/AIDS.
