IT 234: Database Concepts Unit 2 Assignment! Above is my diagram based on movies. For my entities I chose movies tables, genre table, lead star table, IMDB table, directors table, and title tables. In my movies table my primary key is movies table id follow by the foreign keys title, genre, director, lead star, and IMDB that way the database is clean, and each key have a relationship with another entity. The genre table have genre id as the primary key and title id as my foreign key and film category. I thought for
the genre having the title information can help keep things organized. IMDB table have primary key for the IMDB id and foreign keys title and genre. When the movie is being rated the title, so people can know what the movie is named and the genre, so the rating can be stack up against others in the same genre. In the title table, I have title id as the primary key and for the foreign keys I chose genre and IMDB rating ids. Some movie critics love seeing ratings before watching the movies. The directors table have director id as primary and title id as foreign key. I added some attributes to the table to get more background information on the director. Lead star table have lead star id as primary and title id as foreign key. I also added attributes to the lead star because of course movie lovers want to know more about their favorite stars.
