For some people to be rich do others have to be poor?
Absolute Yes. For someone to be rich it does not require the other to be poor. With the strong belief we have that in this world, wealth is limited. Therefore, when someone gains it indicate that someone else losses. For example, of a forest when someone or an organization takes that forest it is obvious that people who had occupied or were benefiting from it will be poorer and will start suffering. In situation where by leaders seize human resources to enrich themselves the citizens becomes poorer and poorer. For some to be called rich there must be someone who is called poor and vice versa.
Is extreme wealth in and of itself a social problem?
Indeed, it is, it causes income inequalities like high rates and lower rates of social goods. Its can also give wealthier people the power to control over the lives of others who are I need they control on where and how needly people will work. Can also affect the fairness of political institution, the wealthy people will be always and highly considered compared to those who are not rich. Constant existence of poverty since the rich people mostly dislikes the poor especially judge them as lazy, so they tend to cooperate with people of they class leaving the poor to be to poor.
Conclusion
The rich should be ready to uplift the poor and the poor should accept to be supported, accept to work in order to avoid inequalities in a society. The rich should combine efforts to generate employment for poor in order earn a living and stop being dependent to the rich people. They should be in position to be satisfied with what they have and stop garbing what belongs to the public e.g., forests and land.
